Unfortunately, a non-invasive optical glucose meter is proving to be a near impossible challenge. One company alone has spent over $50 million and still does not have a viable product. These companies have every reason to do everything within their power to develope such a device, since the pay-off to them would be enormous. Science and nature just refuse to cooperate on this one. A better strategy may be to cure diabetes and make such a device unecessary.
