just to clear the air..
I am not in any way saying I don't support the JDF and all of the good things that they have done! I am a member. The secondary relatives in my family decided to skip the holiday gift eschange instead, pool the money and give it to the JDF. My mother in law gives frequently (with my blessing.) To me, one of the things that puzzles me in this forum is how when one posts there feelings about how we can IMPROVE things, it is seen as "bashing." My words were not a stance against the JDF by any means. They are not intended to discredit anything that they have done so far. I just feel that speaking out in places like this may be the only way to be heard.
Charlie, you mentioned that by picking on the JDF, I'm picking on you as well. Then that means that I'm picking on myself! :) We are all members of the democracy of the U.S. Gov't (well, the U.S. citizens here) but God forbid that we cannot freely speak out to the government. A foundation is (or is supposed to be) the same way. It's members should not feel intimidated from speaking their feelings and ideas! That is what makes democracy work! A government or foundation represents it's people, so it should never be be taken as an "us against them" issue, because like you said, I am every bit as much a JDF'er as the next! (And also a TIF'er)
Please, to anyone (I don't mean you, Charlie) out there who viewed my words as an attack, please don't be sensitive to my criticism, I mean it to be constructive!
