On a technical note, do bear in mind that this board operates on HTML coding principles which can do funny things to the emoticons we use on CompuServe. In HTML, the pointy little brackets around an "s" for "smile" serves as a command to strike through any subsequent writing. Surrounding a "g" for "grin" with pointy brackets will make the "g" disappear because it's not recognized as an HTML command. In general, replacing pointy brackets with parentheses should eliminate this problem. (s)
