How has the ratio been in dollars spent on prevention versus dollars spent on a cure? I remember when my son was first diagnosed, and I became "research obsessed":) , this was something I read about as a major issue for cure advocates; that those currently with diabetes would be left in the wake of prevention studies. They felt that the government was looking at prevention as a better long-term economical solution, and would distribute funding with this point of view. Has this changed, or is this an issue which should be brought up, perhaps, at the May 8th walk on the Capitol?
