Thank you, Al. I appreciate the support. I have been an active member of the diabetes forum on compuserve for some time and am largely responsible for JDF embracing the gray ribbon campaign. Although I do sit on the board of JDF I am Joey's mother first. I visit the diabetes forum and this site as well as many diabetes sites for information to help me understand diabetes and diabetes research. I have not posted until now because I never wished to be a spokesperson for JDF in an official capacity. But I have found helpful information here. I have offered my help to Ron Brenners for the march and I have offered to speak on a forum hosted by Melissa. I was happy to see that Eric Schutt spoke regarding JDF and government relations. But I was not responsible for his appearance. This came as a surprise to me. Camillo's posts brought me out of lurking as I was thrilled to see someone answer questions here. My quest has always been to help find a cure for my baby. JDF seemed like a good place to invest my energy and time and money. But I have never relied on anyone to be the only answer to my questions. I do my own footwork. I am happy to find another place for my questions and to be with others who desperately want the suffering to end. If I can be of any help to anyone I am glad to do so but I will depend on all of you to be there for me when I am in doubt or in pain also. I have seen wonderful support here and I have seen suffering. I truelly do hope we can find a cure together. I speak for myself but I believe in JDF. Thank you again.
