A recent edition of the British Medical Journal carried two superb articles on the peer review process that might be informative to all. I'm including the main link below.

There is a related article on related research biases as well. Don't worry if you can't decipher this (intended) embedded link 'cause I'm just experimenting. The link is also available on the main article page.

BMJ has become an invaluable resource to me, so much so that I'm even willing to overlook the lack of an onsite search function. The Brits seem to have a knack for cutting thru the muck and getting to the point that I seldom find in American reporting and publications. Current articles are updated weekly (http://www.bmj.com/archive/curr.htm).
