18 months in the biotechnology field is considered VERY short which is encouraging. Usually something like this could easily take up to 2-3 years for approval.
I talked to the company and both they and the FDA are very excited about the trails. I was also told one of Valdez's patients has been living diabetes free for the past 7 years.
