Jon - I can totally relate to your feelings there. I've been on insulin almost 30 years, hence, I have been through six periods of "five years from the cure". I heard that the week I was diagnosed in 1978.
Now at age 52 and taking injections for impotence (because the pills are useless), I feel that if they announce an absolute cure, it won't do me any good anyway.
