Remember, once a drug or treatment is approved, any doctor can legally proscribe it for any symptoms. So once Diamyd's stuff is approved for use in honeymoon cases, any doctor can run an experiment on non-honeymoon cases. I'm sure many will. Diamyd will too, of course!
Think of the pay-off! There are about 10k new honeymoon type-1s per year in the US. But there are 1000k (1 million) non-honeymoon type-1s in the US right now! As soon as Diamyd gets approval, they are going after those 1 million. That's a lot more than 10k per year!
