Our name has now been finalised as IXRA, (Mainly due to the previous name possibly being confused with other web addresses).
The full title is
IXRA - International Xenotransplant Recipients Association
Our email address is:
ixra@ihug.co.nz
an interactive web site is under construction, our address is now reserved, ( but this is not as yet active), our web address will be,
www.ixra.org
(any combination of upper or lower case letters will work).
We are primarily an advocacy group , comprised of porcine xenotransplant islet cell recipients , (who are the registered full members) and all like minded supporters , (who are the registered associate members). Our primary purpose is to promote and defend the rights of all people suffering from Insulin dependent (Type 1) Diabetes to have access to the optimal treatment available. We believe and know from intimate personal experience that currently this has been proven to be the xenotransplantation of encapsulated porcine islet cells.
We are a not-for-profit charitable organisation.
Thanks to all transplantees and associates who have already registered their membership.
All other like minded supporters are most welcome to register and show your support.
