In my analysis, whether they are in country or not is irrelevant. One can be infected without having a transplant, therefore, they should not hinder further transplants.

It would be similar to saying the the presence of HIV in humans precludes the transplantation of human tissue. Test for it yes ans cull tissues that are infected but not the others. There may be unknown dangerous viruses in teh human population, but those should not stop us from transplanting either. One step at a time.

And as you point out the viruses are not yet known in the region.
