I very much agree with Mr. Gordon's point of view. For the time being our 12-year old shrugs off both the testing and the injections cheerfully and compliantly. It is the disabling highs and lows that rob her of countless hours of her busy life and keep us, her parents, in a state of perpetual disquet - day and night.
Yes, a complete cure is what we want, but stable glucose would be the next best thing. And not a small thing at that.
