Mr. Goldstein's opinion is obviously based on interviews with newly diagnosed T1's, and I think they stole this quote from the initial FDA insulin pump approval. Frankly, the first 2-3 months I had this disease, the shots were the thing I hated the most.
12+ years later my view has shifted dramatically. It's not the shots I hate the most, it's the big-pharma profit driven, disease perpetuating, 5-10 year continual vision of a 'cure'. Inhaled Insulin, "exubera", (yeah, like it's supposed to make me feel exuberant), is just another cog in this god awful machine.
