Lortie is actually profoundly mentally ill, as those of us who have seen her interviewed on television can testify. Fortunately the Province of Ontario is now supporting legal registration of naturopaths who graduate from the four-year postgraduate program, which is heavily science-based, Naturopathic Doctoral program in Toronto. At least these practitioners will know enough about anatomy, physiology, and biochemstry to understand where they should not intervene and should call in the assistance of conventional medicine.
