as he swims his way into world history at the
Athens 2004 Olympic Games!
We all know that Gary Hall, Jr. has type 1 diabetes, but did you know that
¨ He is the fastest swimmer in U.S. history and in organized competition worldwide!
¨ He and his father, Gary Hall, Sr., will be the only father/son duo in the history of the Olympics to each have three Olympic Games under their respective belts!
¨ He could become the most highly decorated athlete in the history of the Summer Olympics!
Kids with diabetes and swimming fans from across the country are sending messages to Gary Hall, Jr. that will be mounted into a scrapbook and presented to him upon his return to the U.S. Gary stands behind all people with diabetes by raising awareness of the disease and by serving on the board of directors of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. Now, we need to stand behind him. If you would like to send a note of encouragement, a good luck drawing or a letter congratulating him on his achievements, please send it to the DRI Foundation.
